It is our desire to see every child equipped with the necessary tools to return to school this fall. Armed with the tools for success, we believe they can do anything. Backpacs, paper, pencils, uniforms and all of the standard school items are stuffed into a backpack and handed out to children in our community with love. We will be setting our annual distribution date for some time this July. OPERATION BLESSING
Many people in our community won't have the opportunity to share in the joy of a big Thanksgiving Meal if someone doesn't help. LOC wants to be the help they get in a time of need. Complete with turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings, boxes full of the necessary ingredients for an unforgettable Thanksgiving Meal will be given to many families this Thanksgiving. Due to the fact that we live in a military community, many of our soldiers and their families are a long ways from home and don't have the privilege of sharing a Thanksgiving Meal with their family during the holidays. Thanks to the generosity of some of the gracious people at LOC, you can find a family away from your family in Hinesville. If you can't share the holidays with your family, why not share it with your church family. This year we will be coordinating a Thanksgiving Meal designed to provide a place for those displaced from their families during the holidays. OPERATION WISHLIST
Christmas is truly a wonderful time of the year, but many children wake up on Christmas Day without the excitement of finding gifts under the tree. Each year LOC coordinates a large-scale outreach program to provide children with gifts to open on Christmas Day. But we do more than just hand out presents - we also share the reason for the season and give each child, mom and dad the opportunity to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
